Friends List- I've decided to post random things about myself, every now and then- maybe you can learn stuff about me. Today will be the first day I'm starting this- I'm going to try to continue it for a while.. and then I can look back a year from now and laugh at myself. Feel free to laugh at my lameness, i'm aware of it.



Monday, December 29th, 2008
- I have synethesia.
- I *have* to bite every pen/pencil/writing utensil I use, even if it's not mine.
- I'm much weirder than I ever lead on.
- I almost cried when I heard Check Yes Juliet on the radio- and not tears of joy.
- I'm a major procrastinator.
- I never sleep.
- My best friend is my best friend because of the internet.

hai. so i googled synethesia and as i weas reading what it was about, i realized that i watched an episode of house last night that dealth with synethesia. it sounds really confusing. but then again, i am absolutely insane, but if i ever tried to explain myself to people, i would most def be placed back at yale psych unit for re-evaluating.
anyways, im really bored and holed up in my grandfathers office which is serving as my bedroom.

Synthesia is kind of hard to explain, though wikipedia does a pretty good job. There are different types of it- but to sum it all up. Basically, I see *colour* in music. Every song I listen to has a specific colour.
Same with letters/numbers/months/weekdays- I thought it was completely normal.. haha. People seem to be intrigued by it, though.

if it helps, i think i'm slightly terrified of runny foods, such as fruit, melted ice cream, cereal with milk in it, soup...etc. something about the residue and appearance makes it really hard to eat. but its hard explaining it to people because they're always like you don't like strawberries?! and i'm like you do? my family offers me it anyway, probably hoping i'll change my mind and eat it. which is never happpening. i would most likely vomit, which would trigger my emetophobia (fear of vomit/vomiting) and then all hell would break fucking loose.

how do you live with them? anyway, could have a milkshake, but the shit it leaves behind in the glass...that's disgusting. i would probably have to clean it right after i'm done.

tbh, i am super jealous you have synesthesia. i wish i could see colours when i hear music.

[info]ourgossip_lips wrote a fic where gabe has synesthesia. i'm sure you've already read it, but if you haven't, i recommend it. it's a really amazing fic.
